Newbie question for ACID Music Studio 6: When I click 'Insert Soft Synth' button, the Soft Synth Chooser dialog panel appears which shows a list of available synths. There is also a little keyboard displayed at the bottom of the dialog panel. You can check out the sounds of the various synths by clicking the keyboard keys with the mouse. What else is this little keyboard for? There are some neat synths in the list - bells, voices, etc. Since I don't own a physical keyboard I thought I could record a series of notes using the little keyboard in the panel but I can't figure out how. When you click 'Record' the whole Soft Synth Chooser dialog is disabled. |

Hi Tribsa, Welcome to the forum. This topic has been discussed before in this thread: DLS Soft Synth The bottom line is: you cannot play the little keyboard. It’s just a convenience to preview sounds. Read the thread that I linked to for some alternatives. ~jr |
