Subject:Important question about Marking.

I've been creating a voice recording and click M on my keyboard to put marks wherever I make a mistake. But when I go back to edit, I cannot seem to remove the "click" noise where I'm hitting the keyboard. Even if I click on the Mark and delete it, the click noise is still there.

Can anyone give me a solution? Is there a way to delete the noise or a way to mark that doesn't involve the click noise?

Thanks.

Is this click noise generated by the keyboard when you press the keys? Do you hear it from your computer speakers? If so, i suspect you are recording the mixed output of your sound card rather than just the line or mic input. Open up the mixer control panel for the sound card by double-clicking the speaker icon in the task bar. Click Options / Properties / Recording / OK. You'll now be seeing the recording inputs. Make sure that the mic or line input is selected as necessary.

maybe this sounds very silly, but ...
you say you click on the mark and delete it? if this is all you do then indeed no audio actually gets deleted, but just the mark you created in the first place. you need to select the range of the clicking sound and then delete. the mark is just there to give you a visual aid of the click's location.

Go to Win control panel | Sounds & Audio Devices | Sounds, and select No Sounds. You seem to be recording the freindly audio feedback sounds from Windows.

geoff
