It breaks Asio. You can not go back to 8.0a without uninstalling 8.0b.

When uninstalling 8.0b it also removes your serial and unlock information.
The uninstall also removes your personal workspace and key commands. scripts are kept thank god.

Meaning you have to reinstall completely, enter serial and unlock online. If you are online all the time and never personalize your workspace thats probably only a nuisance, but if you're like me with highly optimized workspace and no internet in the studio but somewhere else, DO NOT INSTALL!

I am typing this on a cell phone dial up waiting for my email with unlock info. I AM VERY MAD RIGHT NOW. I am in the middle of a project working 20 hours a day and a simple fix that was supposed to improve my key commands and make things easier just broke my whole workflow.

Seriously wtf is going on Sony? 8.0 was a disaster compared to sonic foundry's earlier quality, 8.0a was a sorely needed bandage and 8.0b takes of the bandage and shows us there is indeed a bad infection in the wound.

i miss the sonic foundry vibe.

I must have some magic mojo or something. ASIO works fine for me in 8.0b.

I always install the update fresh rather than updating the existing install. Based on experience, I've found that works better. (Yeah, it wipes out your personalized settings and you have to re-register, but that's a small thing for me.)

Always plan ahead. Hope for the best and expect the worst.

No problems here. Been using it since it was posted.
