Subject:Region Drag and Drop in SF8

Has the ability to drag regions from the regions list into a new file or to drag them into an empty space in the Sound Forge window been removed from SF8?
A big part of my workflow is to create regions in a large file and then drag and drop them individually into a new space to focus on just that section and save it as a new file. SF8 won't let me do it.
I can still select part of the waveform itself and do the drag and drop, but this is not as useful for my purposes.
Is there something I am missing here?

This is a bug. The right cursor appears, but nothing happens.

One other workaround is to save the regions in the large file, then use the Region View in the Explorer to do the same thing. Then you don't even need to keep the large file open if you don't want to.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi.

Thanks for the info on the workaround. I never noticed the Regions View in Explorer. I'll probably use that.
I am looking forward to the update with the Region Drag & Drop fix, though.

Thanks,
Mark
