Subject:Problem opening new Acid project

I'm having problems opening up my newest Acid project. It gets to 11% and then stays there. The elapsed time just keeps going and going. Is there a way to fix this? All of my other Acid projects open fine. I haven't changed anything in my computer, so there is no reason that this should be happening. Any help would be great. Thanks!

1)Please fill out the your system specs.

2) What version of acid are you using?

3)What other software do you have installed?

4)Was it a earlier acid project that your opening to a newer version? [ie:version 3 to version 5]

5)Are all the audio files in the same location and NOT corrupted?

6)Any new audio plugins being used or vsti's?

7)Did you try the acid.bak file? [The backup version?]

1) Just updated my specs
2) Acid 5.0 B (build 324)
3) I also have Reason 3 and FLStudio 5 installed (neither in use in the problem Acid project though)
4) Not an earlier Acid project.
5) All the files are in the same location. Nothing currupted that I know of.
6) No new audio plug ins or VST's
7) There wasn't a back up file up to date.

You system specs are still missing.

You are hitting a proformance ceiling with having all your work on one drive. NOT ideal in any situation.

You need 2 HD drives...My recommendation is Western Digital Raptor drives. 10K sata 8mb buffer.

One just for audio apps and the other for audio storage...

On my system in options>>pref>>folders>>All my audio tasks like record/render to new...even temp folder is in a acid project folder on the audio drive.

Even better is to add a external firewire drive to your setup. Keep ALL your loops and VSTI samples/sounds on that. Your large one shot waves I keep internally. All my Bfd/reason stuff is on my external.

HTH.
