soundcard / device for m audio lx4 5.1 setup?

after doing some reading it seems the M audio lx4 5.1 system will serve my needs for surround mixing. The specs say it has 6 trs inputs so I am looking for suggestions on a recommended mutli channel output devise for use with vegas and this spk setup.

I'm thinking a Presonus Firepod as this will be useful for recording as well
thanks for your posts..

The PreSonus is a decent unit, but their drivers leave a few things desirable. M-Audio and Echo (IMO) provide the most stable drivers and good quality hardware product. The M-Audio FW410 is a great choice, same with the Echo EchoFire 8.

after doing some more reading it seems the m audio lx4 5.1 setup has BALANCED TRS inputs
and the Maudio 410 FW has UNBALANCED TS outputs ...ant thoughts epirb about this? Has it affected your usage?

It sure looks good for the price but I'm leaning towards the GINA now with its BALANCED outs.
thanks.

I just got the FW410. It's very nice. You don't need be balanced from the 410 to the power amps. It's input from a 7.1 source is digital - FW or optical/spdif. has two balanced mic inputs with phantom power and midi input.
