OT: Wireless mic recommendations?

Pullmanite wrote on 7/28/2005, 10:09 AM
I'm looking for a dependable true-diversity lav. mic that I can use with any of my camcorders (Sony VX2000, Canon GL2, Canon GL1, Canon ZR300, Sony TRV-25). I'm looking for something that can output to the stereo mic inputs on these camcorders. I know some of the nicer systems have XLR as the output and I could convert to stereo 1/8", but I'd rather have something a little smaller that would be a bit more portable and wouldn't rely on flaky convertors. Any recommendations?

I should also add that I need something under $350... <<cringe>>

Sennheiser Evolution 100 series. Should meet all your criteria.

I agree with Brian, although may be slightly more than you want to spend , we bought a couple a sets and shortly after retired a couple a sony wireless on ebay to buy some other stuff, real bang for the buc, in my opinion

I'll give it a try... there are a couple of eBay right now... retail is a bit much. Thanks!

Full Compass is having a sale of tons of Sennheiser B-stock and demos. You might have to mix and match a bit, though. Check it out at:

I think I purchased my EW112p system from Full Compass at retail for about $350. They don't do online ordering, but you can call them up any time. Good folks... know their stuff.
