I cannot change pan and volume for midi. Pan and voluem slider doesn't synchronize with movement. How can i change those things? When i use vsti, those things don't work. But when i use microsoft GS wavetable SW synth, those things work very well. I feel strange. please help me. |

When I use any of the Native Instruments XPress Keyboards VSTis, they seem to work fine for me. What VSTis are you using? Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid Buy Instant ACID by JohnnyRoy and mD! mD at ACIDplanet |

To supplement Iacobus' post, many VSTi's don't respond to volume and pan messages (MIDI CC7 and CC10, respectively). Others have a switch that turns this response on and off. If you let us know what VSTi you're using, we'll be able to figure out what's wrong. - Nick |

I have problems with Garritan Personal Orchestra & Emagic Vintage Piano 73 vsti's. No panning or volume changes possible without routing it to a bus & changing the bus volume (but this still doesn't sort out the panning!). Also I've noticed with GPO that if you adjust the volume within the vsti interface, this new setting isn't saved when you re-open the Acid file (i.e. it's impossible to save a 'mix level'). Any ideas? Ta LD |

According to the website, GPO uses the mod wheel to control the volume and timbre simultaneously, much like the EastWest/Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra VSTi I use. In this case, CC1 will control your volume instead of CC7. Go into the Piano Roll editor of the MIDI track you have plugged into GPO and look in the lower right-hand corner. It will probably say "Velocity". Click that and select "1:Modulation", and paint in your volume markings. Now change it to "10:Pan" and paint in your pan settings. Make both of them really goofy so you can see if it's working. Reply back here with your results. - Nick |
