Anybody using Sonicfire Pro w/ HDV? Crashes

I sent a report to smartsound software but was wondering if anybody else can see if they have the same problem as I.
If I put a movie into to SF pro , HDV avi using the Cineform codec, then add music and try to edit the musci on the timeline especialy trying to shorten the piece to some thing less than I originaly set it to.
SF Pro crashes every time this is their lastest version 3.2.2

I'd suggest rendering out a quick and dirty avi proxy, to be honest I'm amazed it works at all, I think it uses a quicktime viewer so anythings likely.

Exactly. When I'm using Sonicfire Pro, I always render in MPEG-1 and then export the audio to be imported into Vegas.

Same response here. I am amazed that it even tried to show Cineform. I am sure that it can't recompress to it. I would render a low quality DV (even smaller size to save time) and use that in Smart Sound. The export the soundtrack as wav without any of the original sound in it. (turn off the movie sound just before export) and then pull it inot Vegas for a final mix down. I always do the final mix in Vegas, unless I am paying someone else to do it.

Yeah thanks guys,
Actually the video played great , full frame rate too. I use the movie just for timming purposes in SF P, when creating tracks out of blocks, and always do the final mix in Vegas too.
Ill try it with a low res .mov file next time.
