When I installed the lastest update (5.0a build 152) to Acid Music Studio I suddenly lost my "help" function. I tried mouse clicking on HELP and F1 neither seemed to work. So I uninstalled and reistalled the program. The HELP seemed to be working then again I installed the update and the HELP function no longer worked. Has anyone else had this problem? |

I don't use ACID Music Studio, but have you tried installing just the update once you've uninstalled? Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid Buy Instant ACID by JohnnyRoy and mD! mD at ACIDplanet |

I did try that but it didn't seem to work. It's very interesting that an update would actually delete the help file. I am sure that this is what happened because after I uninstalled and reinstalled twice then downloaded and run the update each time I found the same result. |

Yea, I have Music Studio 5.0a too and the help works, but I didn’t update. I just installed 5.0a as the first thing. All of the Sony updates are full versions so you don’t have to install 5.0 and then 5.0a. Try uninstalling and just installing 5.0a and see if that works. ~jr |

Uninstall Music Studio then Re-install. Before you perform the upgrade, COPY the Sony help folder to another location. You'll find it in C:\Program Files\Sony\Shared Plug-Ins\Help Files (default install location). Upgrade Music Studio. After upgrading copy these files back into the original folder. Select "NO" to overwrite any files. ACID50.HLP and a couple other files will be added back. You will now have your Help feature available when you launch the program. |
