Subject:#Fade In and Out an effect on a selected area

Hello,

I want to fade IN and OUT a effect on a select area. (eg. stereo or mono file)
This is what I miss in SF.

For example:
I want to add an EQ to a selected area to enhance it.
At this momet every effect/process cuts directly in and out. This is very ugly.
Is it possible to set a envelope, (like the new PAN/Volume envelope) for the effect I want to add?

I dont want to user serval copy and pastes for this action.

Thank you,
Carbonium

Right-click anywhere outside the effects control area of the dialog (like the blank area above the "Selection" button in the lower right) and select "Configuration". There is an option in there to automatically crossfade edges. This value is saved, but only for the effects you choose to set it on.

Alternatively, if the effect, has wet/dry controls, you can use the plug-in chainer and automate those levels within a given selection.

It may also be beneficial to snap to zero crossings when you make your selections to process.

Yes.. this helps a bit, but the maximal value of the crossfade edges are 1sec only.

A graphicaly crossfade for a selected area would be great and very helpfull. Eg. a button [Crossfade] in the preview area of an effect/process. In the same way like the graphically fade.

Hmm.. the most default effects/process like EQ and Dynamics didnt have that option.

Thank you Sonic
