Subject:ReWireDLL.cpp(1266) : VERIFY failure ERROR

When I went to use Acid Pro 5.0b today... I got the following error msgs D:\Projects\rewire\ReWireDLL\Portable\ReWireDLL.cpp(1266) : VERIFY failure Same msg twice more with the numbers 3875 and 990 in parens. Acid is installed on C drive, loops and projects were installed on D drive but I moved everything on D to new F drive today (F drive is fine and all files/loops open in Acid Pro 3) I tried taking the quick route and uninstalling and reinstalling Acid 5 but still get the same error messages The weird thing to me is that I never setup that directory in the first place - is that something Acid created? How do I get my Acid working again please? Message last edited on6/18/2005 7:31:01 PM byjmeredith. |

Sorry I don't have an explanation to your problem, but I have gotten this same error a few times also. It seems random, although it hasn't happened in a while. No such directory exists on my machine either. Must be a rewire bug. |

I've searched the Web and this seems to affect Sonar, Logic, Cubase, Acid, Tracktion, etc and the only common denominator is the "RewireDLL" troubles. Hard to contact Propellerhead for support - seems they only want to talk to customers who buy their products Dear Sony PCH Have you been able to make any headway with this issue? Acid Pro 5.0b won't even open up anymore for me :( Thank you Julie |

As you saw it's a known issue, and as far as I know, this issue is up to Proppelerhead. Most of the time in my case, this happenned with the initial version release of Acid, no the 5.0a. What rewire client do you use most often ? |

Finally got Acid to work... seems Amplitube (IK Multimedia) may have been the culprit. I recently purchased Project 5 v2 and Sonar 4SE but hadn't even gotten around to learning about Rewire yet... Message last edited on6/21/2005 11:40:44 AM byjmeredith. |

Amplitube being the culprit might be possible. BTW Acid definitely has the most user-friendly implementation of Rewire Technology : In the Mixer panel, clic on "Insert Soft Synth...", and click on the "Rewire Devices" tab. Then double click on the application you want to sync with Acid. After this, Launch your Rewire-Slave application (e.g. Reason, Porject 5 v2, Gigastudio, etc...), and you're done. Don't forget to select the correct channels in the Soft Synth Properties panel, if you want to stack multiple instruments (of the rewire slave application), and thus being able to control them individually with your Midi Keyboard. |
