Perhaps I'm losing it, but Vegas has always had the ability to override quantize to frames by holding down the shift key before clicking on an event to move it. It worked fine in 6.0a, but now that I've got 6.0b, it doesn't work anymore.
A bug? You gotta be kidding me! That's one of the most useful shortcuts I use in the whole program. I have to ask what their rational behind calling it a bug was.
I thought I'd never say this, but Sony, can we please have that bug back?
I've officially reported it to Sony, but they have yet to get back to me. I think their heads weren't quite screwed on straight when "fixing" that one.
Overriding Quantize to Frame must not be used to a video event. This is for audio only!
Any function which allows to override Quantize to Frames to video just by chance is a very dangerous function. So I think Sony just wanted to take care not to have a too simple way to override Quantize to Frames to video.
But what is not clear to me is why they did not simply lock any way to use this for video. You still can do it if you turn Quantize to Frames of in the menu. Locking shortcuts does not really help as long as it's still available also video through a menu function.
Better have the shortcut back but have it generally affect audio only.
