Play All?

My apologies if this has been addressed before; in fact, I'm sure it has, but I just could not find any topics when I searched.

I have six separate movies on my DVD that I would like to have the option of doing a Play All. However, I want to have an "interactive pause between each one." For example, if the user selects "Play All," the first movie plays and then displays a clip that says "press ENTER to continue"... when the user presses ENTER, the second movie plays, etc.

Any ideas?

Seems like it somewhat defeats the purpose of "PLay All" by forcing them to press enter between each movie - why not just take them back to the main menu and simply select the next movie?

In any event, bring each movie into the project a second time; I like to rename them in the project tree via since it makes them easier to track. Then create a menu to go between each movie. The menu has a button/link on it that links to the next movie in the sequence.

Set your play all button to link to the first movie, then set the end action of that movie to link to the first "pause" menu; repeat as needed.

I agree with your assessment that it seems redundant, but it's being created for a group of people that are doing a presentation with this. Normally, I would simply show them that they need to simply go to the next item on the menu. But all I can say is that I've dealt with these people before, and trust me... getting them to do anything more technical than pushing a single button is impossible... I've had unbelievable problems with these folks before.

I'll try your suggestion... thanks for the prompt reply.

Check the manual / help section for "destination button." This lets you define, for each video, what button his automatically highlighted after the video returns to the menu. This way, you can have just one menu for the whole set, and all the viewer / presenter has to do his hit the enter button.

(Assuming you're using DVDA2 or DVD3, not DVDA1 or DVDA Studio.)
