I have SF 7.0 with noise reduction. I have been cleaning up audio cassette tapes. In some there is a gurgling effect like the speaker is gargling while he talks. In some this is very minor, in others it is rather strong. Is there any way to remove this? or if I can't deal with the effect, is the tape pretty much trash? |

Is this with NR? If yes, use a lower NR setting and do two passes of NR instead of one. |

Te gurgling is in the original recording, before I do any editing at all. The tape is pretty old. |

Flutter, inconsistent tape speed or maybe damaged tape. To my knowledge, there's no restoration process' or plug-ins that can fix it... Try another cassette machine. (a dual capstan if available) or maybe put the tape in a new cassette shell. |
