How do you enable an incoming audio signal, from let's say a Korg Wavestation, to appear in one of the bus tracks for monitoring? I can't seem to pull it off. I'm using an M-Audio Audiophile 2496, and have no idea how to preview incoming signal. |

Well, you can't route the Wavestation track to a bus until after the fact (i.e., after recording), but you can certainly monitor what's coming from your Wavestation. To monitor digital audio, you'd route the signal to the Audiophile's Monitor Mixer (via the Patchbay/Router tab) and then under the Monitor Mixer tab, unmute the respective I/O sliders and turn them all the way up. Yeah, that's what i'm doing now. However, I know that Fruity Loops will let you route the incoming signal to a bus. I was sort of hoping that Acid would let you do the same thing. |

ACID does not allow input monitoring / software monitoring. I have been complaining about this forever. I have to use a different app (Cubase or Live or Tracktion2) if I want to record / monitor effects. A real shame.......... |

Wouldn't surprise me to see input monitoring make it into ACID eventually. However, users will probably have to note that ASIO is best for the job. Personally, I'd rather monitor through hardware; it's one less thing for my system to take of. Harware may put less stress on your system, but try to use something like Guitar Rig or Amplitube. You can't which means you need a Pod type of sound source. Regards, Rich |

Screw the Pod; I have a GNX2 (from DigiTech). :) My apologies to Pod users. Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid Buy Instant ACID by JohnnyRoy and mD! mD at ACIDplanet |
