Bug: Opening 2 files with the same file name causes one of the windows to lose a lot of fuctionality. I tested this on my SoundForge 7 and it worked fine - so it must be new to SoundForge 8. Here's how I reproduce the problem: Start SoundForge 8.0a Click File --> New Set SampleRate to 44,100 Bit Depth to 16bit Channels to Stero Click Tools --> Synthesis --> DTMF/MF Tones... Under Preset, select "[Sys] Entire DTMF range (1234567890ABCD*#)" Save the file as a Microsoft Wave in \MySoundFiles\Sound 1.wav Save the file again in \MySoundFiles\NewFolder\Sound 1 .wav Click File --> Open Select \MysoundFiles\Sound 1.Wav At this point you will have two windows open and one will work just fine but the other one will not. You can still do things to such as, Invert/Flip or InsertScilence. But you cannot put in markers, regions or us the Undo feature. Also, if you try to run a script with a command such as App.CurrentFile.OverwriteAudio it will cause a "Catistophic Fault". The only reason I'm looking into SoundForge 8 is because of the endless possibilities scripting provides. It would be great if the Script Editor window was a little more feature filled, less buggy (for example, the cursor commonly disappears and you have to click on an active sound file to make it come back) and there were more examples in the SDK's help documentation. I'm running SoundForge 8.0a Trial on Windows XP Message last edited on6/3/2005 3:25:27 PM byGhent. |
