My first post...I'm having a blast in Acid Pro 5...first few sessions...what I can't figure out from the manual, help, or trial and error is how to apply a fade out to all tracks. I want to burn to CD with a simple fade out that's all...I hope this is simple enough and not too annoying of a question (like, duh!). Thanks, Gunga

I just got done putting fades on a track of pink noise... puts the 2 month old right to sleep! Anyway, you might have to do it for each track, and if there is a way to copy and paste fades someone might chime in and tell us about that. To make a fade put up a volume graph, put a point where you want to start the fade and then a point where you want it to end. Right click inbetween the points and it will give you options for different fades. This is a pretty basic way to fade a track. You might be able to create a bus and fade it out that way... but I am not too sure about that one.. Good luck

Thanks...I am so impatient...I just discovered that you choose View/Show Bus Tracks
(or press shortcut B)....which puts the master bus in line with the other tracks, then you can right click on the track and add/remove envelope- ( Volume)...too easy

Thanks for the quick suggestion...filterthing...I don't remember sleeping well until the kids were 1 or so...good luck....enjoy the studiprojects. Gunga

Yep, that's the way to do it. You might experiment with different fade out types. I fnd the slow fade is the best way to replicate the kind of sound you hear on album tracks. Probably because our ears are non-linear when it comes to dynamics.

You can also do some interesting things with extra buses - say fade out everything except for one instrument, or except for the lead vocal, or a reverb return.

or you could just render the project to a single track, and apply the fade-out to that track.

Yes, if you are going to apply the fade to the entire project, then its best to wait until the mastering stage and do it then.
