Very interesting. I wasn't aware there was a class action lawsuit. (I left the Creative camp after owning a SB Live! card. That thing was a dog compared to what I have now.)

Technically it’s Attn Creative users. This has nothing to do with SoundBlaster cards.

This is for anyone who owns an original Audigy or Extigy product (not the newer Audigy 2 or Extigy 2). Creative flat out lied about its 24bit capability and I’m glad they didn’t get away with it. There arrogance shows is their statement:

Creative denies the claims made in this Litigation, and denies that anyone has been harmed or deserves compensation in relation to the claims.

What??? it’s OK to rip off the public as long as no one gets hurt? How absurd is that? They took peoples money for a 24bit soundcard that is only capable of 16bit sound and they don’t see anything wrong with that?

This story reminds me of Guillemot's ISIS "Studio" soundcard. At the time they released it, XP came out two or three month after. Guess what ? Guillemot didn't make any XP Drivers. They said it coudn't be done. I guess it couldn't be d$o$n$e ^^.

No lawsuit for this one, but they lost their music hobbyist customers for sure. Now they've changed their name, by buying Hercules. I remember their video cards were very sensitive to IRQ conflicts back in the Win98 days.

I guess Frenchies are good at stinky fromage, not in the Hi-tech domain. Ow, what did I say... Except Arturia. G. Bless this company that saves our honor in the music software industry ^^.
