This is really embarrassing. SoundForgeStudio6 - I select a portion of sound in the left channel of a stereo file, I want to move it along to the right. Where is the tool that allows me to slide this portion along? thanks mark |

There is no 'slide' tool. But you can drag the selection and then drop it on the Sound Forge desktop to create a new window containing just that audio. Then you can select from the new window, and drag back to the old window and drop the audio where you want. This is a close as Sound Forge has to a 'slide' audio function. tj |

Thanks. Looks like I have to right click during the drag and select 'P' to get the result I want. mark |

Hi Mark, Not sure if this is available in the Studio version, but in the full version of Sound Forge 6, you can select the data in one channel, and then choose Process > Channel Converter. Then choose the Stereo to Stereo - Swap Channels preset and click OK. Best regards, Scott -- Scott R.
