During the installation of Acid 5.0 I got a message that Media Manager had not been installed. However, the Acid installation continued and indicated that it had finished installing. I was able to open the application after installation but as expected when I clicked the media manager tab, I got the following message: MSSQL$SONY_MEDIAMGR service does not exist or the current account does not have enough privlege. The account used for the installation has full administrative privleges. I have installed all of my other daw software on this account. I uninstalled the Acid 5.0 software and re-installed it to no avail. I still got same error messages as in the previous installation. I emailed support, however, it has been 5 days now without a response from them. I am hoping someone on this board can shed some light on this problem. Another user with this problem solved it by re-installing the .Net Framework. You can read about it in this thread: Can't get Acid 5 to start!. ~jr |
