Hello,

I am complaining and crying when something doesnt work but I must also praise when something works beautifully.

I must say I am indeed happy with the 8.0a update. Snappy, stable, the bugs i encountered are fixed and the issues i had are solved. I am sure there still are bugs but by and large i am very impressed and satisfied. Its like having a great racing car and now I am just driving and driving very fast without worrying!

(Except for my other keyboard question... but its no big deal)

Cheers for the report - much appreciated.

Like many I guess, I now can't try 8a as my trial has already expired. My main concern was the really bad sluggishness of the initial release - can you confirm whether this has definitely been fixed, and that Forge 8a feels as snappy on playback etc as previous releases?

Thanks

Ben

I am also very happy with this new version. It was nice to see this update coming fast and solving some critical issues. Sound Forge 8 is fantastic. Asio, vst, the batch converter, cd architect and many fixes here and there (one I'm happy is the wma 24 bit support, now I store everything in wma lossless) are bringing huge improvements to my workflow.

Erik.

I have started working in 8.0a, and it is as snappy as 7 was. I got 8.0 when it first came out, but never uninstalled 7. now... 7 may be fading fast...

Cheers guys - useful info. I'm annoyed I passed on the upgrade offer now, as my decision was based on the initial - poor - release...
