Subject:Media Library Default error

I just installed Acid 5 and when I open the program I get the following popup:

"The Media Library default has a newer format that is not supported by this version of software"

After I click the OK button, the program opens like it should. How do I remedy this. I have tried reinstalling, but to no avail. My other software (Vegas 6, Soundforge8) work fine.

I figured out what I had to do. Once I opened ACID it was just a matter of reconfiguring my Media Library to open a different folder/path.

The Media Manager is a shared component across ACID Pro 5 and Vegas 6 applications.

If you install ACID Pro 5.0a _after_ Vegas 6 is installed, you need to run Vegas at 6 least once before ACID 5.0a will start to use the new Media Manager 2.0 component that comes with Vegas. This is why you were getting the error message about the "newer" library format. ACID was still using the older Media Manager 1.0 component and was trying to open the media library created by the newer Media Manager 2.0 component.

This issue has been resolved for ACID Pro 5.0b and is not necessary any more (install order should not matter between ACID Pro 5.0b and Vegas 6). ACID Pro 5.0b includes the newer Media Manager 2.0 component.

Also, the Vegas 6 Media Manager 2.0 component requires ACID Pro 5.0a at a minimum - ACID Pro 5.0 will not work.
