Does it matter what folder/where you keep your acid music files/plug ins---as long as it's in the Acid Pro main folder?

Are you referring to your own ACID project files (files with the ACD extension)? If so, you can put them wherever you want, but I'd suggest centralizing each project and any related recorded/custom media in its own folder.

(For example, if you have a project titled, "My Project," you'd create a folder with the same name and place the ACD file and any related media in that folder. If you need to organize further, you can put subfolders within this folder.)

I'd do the same with any 3rd-party plug-ins; centralize VST effects and VSTis separately in their own folders and then point ACID to them (via the VST Effects or the VST Instruments tabs under Options > Preferences respectively).

I have a lot of XI files like Soft Choir, Lady Vox, Drama Voice, etc. Just wondering if it matters where to put these?

If these are Direct X plug-ins is doesn’t matter where they are on your system. They get registered with Windows and will be found by all Direct X compatible applications. If these are VST plugins they normally go in the C:\Program Files\Vstplugins directory.
