WMV files playing in "negative"

My sister tells me that my WMV files (wmv 9 created in Vegas 5) are playing with "psychedelic colours, orange and lime green etc., almost like watching a negative". She's using WM Player 9 under Win XP on a new Dell PC. They have always played OK on my system.

The videos are on my video gallery and apparently the first one (whale shark) is one of the culprits.

Any ideas?

thanks!

It plays fine here. Is there any chance she set her video display to 16 colors?

Have to echo what Chienwerks said because on this PC it plays great via WMP 9. Nice work!

she has to update her wmv codec is all .. tell her to install the latest build .. she can just install the stand alone codec

That seems a little strange. For me, Windows Media Player wouldn't even attempt to play WMV9 files until after i let it download the new codec.

no - we have seen this before -- there are different builds for one thing ..

but I'm not going to say that this 100% the issue or cure .. it is media player and wmv we ARE talking about ..
