Subject:New loop libraries?

Noticed a few odd things about the "Loops for Acid" pages. Some of the old libraries are being remarketed as "New!" CDs (they are not). A few of the old releases have had name changes, seemingly pretty minor. I guess it's all part of Sony's general reworking of the whole loop library.

Speaking of which, things have been pretty quiet for a while. About a year back, we got one or two new CDs every month - what is happening out there? I say this because SF was always at the forefront of sample creation, IMO. The libraries all represent good value for money, often with bonus CDs.

Personally, I am less interested in straight techno/rock/hip-hop construction kits. I go for samples with an ambient or ethnic flavour. The sample world in general seems to have stopped producing ethnic libraries - maybe there is less money in them now? Most of the labels seem to be busy repackaging their legacy products as virtual instruments (which I dislike).

How about it Sony? Can we expect a flood of new libraries, with a few more like the Laswell collection, Ma Ja le etc?

PS Of course, the new Cinemascape one is right up my alley - nice!
