Subject:trouble importing mp3 files

I have some mp3 files that I can't import while others seem to have no problem. They look to be exactly the same. What is the problem and what can I do about it? Thanks for the help.

Did you encode these MP3s yourself? If so, what app was used to encode? Some vendors took liberties with the official MP3 spec.

Do you have Sound Forge? Does it let you open the MP3s in there?

I did not encode them myself. I do not think that I have sound forge. Thank you for the help.
