NEED HELP! Lost my Timeline Preview 4.0

I started working today, every thing was fine..(except an unusual audio stutter in the trimmer)
Then I just lost my TIMELINE video preview. If I play the AVI from the trimmer window I still get video preview..when I go back up to the timeline and hit play the preview window shows the frames running but no video playback...just black screen.

No composite envelopes are on ..all video tracks are at 100%......help..what happened.

Did you uncheck "Recompress Edited Frames" in your Options>preferences>video?

Just checked and the box is checked. I just downloaded and installed the Latest 4.0 build and it still only previews in the trimmer. yikes.

Auto preview also works in the media bin...hmm

Do you have split screen enabled by chance?

Found it ...The Mute all video button was depressed in the pull down menu.
I didn't realize that the track video mutes wouldn't over ride this.

I must need more sleep.
