Is there no way to render the audio from Reason when it's rewired to ACID if you didn't sequence the parts in ACID. If I'm rewired and I sequence parts using Reason's sequencer, or better yet, using a Dr Rex loop - when I try to render the audio for a track or loop from ACID (using the Render As command 'cuz the Export Loops is always greyed out...), the result is always blank/empty/no audio. If I sequence the part in ACID (hellish...) sending the MIDI data thru to Reason, I can then render. I know the answer seems obvious, but is there no other way? |

Are you sure you’ve inserted the correct Reason outputs when you inserted it as a ReWire device? I have it working for me. Insert Reason Master Mix, load a song in Reason, drop a few loops in ACID, and use Render As... in ACID to get both the Reason and ACID mix in the final wave file. I’m not sure why it’s not working for you but it does work. ~jr |

you also have to make sure you have some type of audio in acid or it won't give you the option to render. if you just want to render your reason output and haven't done anything in acid yet, just add any old loop and turn the volume all the way down to zero, then render to a new track and you'll have a acid track with just your reason stream. although i personally think acid's midi is much easier to edit than reason's (i'm not a fan of anchor-based sequencing), i'll admit i pretty sick of acid's record pop-up box. we have to get rid of this in the next release guys...it's so 1999. |

yeah, coolout...that's the deal...gotta be something on the timeline. I've been able to do it with an empty MIDI track as well. Thanks for the advice. As far as doing MIDI in Reason, I'm a HORRIBLE, AWFUL, DOWNRIGHT-NASTY keys player so I really like the features that Reason has like Quantize on input, General quantize, the percentages of quant you can apply, the Change Events and the percentages you can apply to this, the randomize feature, the line tool...I could go on and on. But the Reason sequencer really helps me get to work. what's anchor-based sequencing? Anyway, good looking out. Thanks. |

try moving an event in the reason sequencer with snap enabled. it will snap (or quantize for that matter) by the END point as opposed to the START of the note. so simple, yet so annoying and the opposite of every sequencer i've used. |
