I reported this to Sony, but they are unable to reproduce this and now I'm wondering if it's just me:
1. Put anything on the timeliine (just to have something to render).
2. Choose "Render As..."
3. Note the "Save as type" and the filename chosen.
4. Now, change the "Save as type" to something with a different extension. The filename doesn't update its extension.
For example, if I choose "Render As" and the "Save as type" is currently set to "Video for Windows", the default filename on an unsaved project would be "Untitled.avi". Now if I change the "Save as type" to Quicktime, the filename should change to "Untitled.mov", but it doesn't. It stays at "Untitled.avi".
This behavior only exists on Vegas 6.0 on my system. No other program I have installed does this. Sooo....anyone else able to confirm this?
Thanks,
-Brent
