Subject:When recording, mic playsback? How to stop this?

I recently bought 8.0 and I had 7.0 before. But now whenever I try to record, I will hear the mic as I press the "record button" too. It was never like this in 7.0... is there an option to set it this? I already have on my regular volume controls the mic muted, but it still seems to do it for Sound Forge.I don't like hearing myself at same time when pressing the record or else it will create major confusion and feedback.

Options->Preferences->Audio:

Uncheck "Monitor audio input while recording".

I believe this will be moved to the record dialog and defaulted to false in the first update.
