Subject:Batch converting wav to mp3

I recently bought SF8. When saving wav to mp3 through the file menu- save as everything works great.
If I try to convert several wav files to mp3 via the batch converter it will not work.
What could be wrong? Any tips

You can't use the MP3 plugin with the batch converter until you have registered it.

To register. Open the SaveAs dialog, choose MP3, then choose the "Custom" button
and follow the directions on the page.

hmm.. I was sure about having registerd it before..
but it certainly did the trick. Thank you.

Question:

Can the batch converter call external commandline programs for processing ?
I ask since I'd use the Lame encoder for mp3 encoding over anything else any day.
