Had a chance recently to check out VSTi in Acid for the first time and I am wondering if anyone else experiences the inconsistencies that I do. For instance I can load the instrument and set up the Midi input (from the (keyboard) alright - but wierd things begin to happen when I change presets for the instrument (i.e.) keyboard might not play the preset even though tI can play the preset alright with the mouse; or if I change the VST instrument itself I might lose my keyboard altogether. Now I can usually get everything working right again in either case by futzing with the Enable switch, the Solo Listen to Midi Input switch and the Auto Midi Input Routing switch on the Pref / Midi tab, but I am not able to figure out what is the best way to set this up so that I can simply change presets and instruments - without all this extra work Any ideas would be greatly appreciated |

Questions: What are you using for MIDI I/O? What keyboard are you using? Which VSTi's are you using, and does this happen with all of them for you? |
