Yes its pretty depressing to know that there's now a controller specifically for what is essentially freeware!

freeware that's been around one-fifth the time Acid has...if anyone at Sony is listening, I would pay $130 for something like that.

You forgot to mention the great Tascam FW-1082. It seems more pro to me, firewire, audio interface... Not only a simple controller.

I think we shouldn't worry about HUI support. It'll be supported at a time ore another. I mean, Sony is mostly hardware, so that would be logical.

Damn......we can dream about a controller....can't we. Please be careful what you say around here. We got censored again last night.

Ow, by the way, did I say FW-1082 ?

Actually, Tascam's FW-1884 seems, again, more professional (supports Surround outputs). As it can be extended up to 24 motorized faders ^^. Here's the picture (I love this machine, I love it) :

I know, I know, I need some therapy ... But doesn't it look nice with Acid ? Oowww so cute ^^

I have the Contour Design's ShuttlePro and it works great with ACID. I have it set up to play, pause, record etc. Of course, having faders to do a mix would be nice. Perhaps ACID will get the Mackie support that Vegas has one day.

When I was working solely in Acid a few years back, i went out of my way to do a mix via a "mixer"..and ended up buying a Tascam 1000, as well as the goofy pci card that was needed to interface digitally..just to have 8 channels I could mix..

I didn't realize Vegas had control surface support..surely..acid can't be far behind? did I just say that?

I wouldn't be surprised if control surface support eventually made it into ACID at some point. Remember, as always, to let SPD know if you want to see a specific feature. Also remember that your requested feature might not make it into the next version of ACID (or possibly the version after that).

Hope for the best and expect the worst, I always say. :o)
