Subject:Acid loops in Vegas - pitch issues

So I beatmap a percussion track in Acid, and as I am beatmapping it I choose to save it by "Preserving Pitch of the Beatmapped Track When Tempo Changes" and I save the beatmapper info with the file........
Fine - it opens in Acid and when I change the tempo the pitch is preserved....
Then I render the file and open it in Vegas 6 (which says it can now deal with Acid loops.. and I have tried both options in the audio tab of Pref to Import Audio at project tempo
but when I change the tempo the pitch changes - this is not what I want - I want the pitch to be preserved as it so worked in Acid - is this the way of the Vegas world or is there some checkbox I have ommitted??

I believe that is the documented behaviour of Vegas.

The Acid loop support was added as a convenience and is not really an Acid substitute.

Vegas has little notion of tempo and tempo changes.

Actually, I'm not sure if this has changed in Vegas 6, but whatever ACIDized track you bring into Vegas should automatically stretch to the Vegas project's set tempo.

And it should stay that way unless you delete the track, change the Vegas project's tempo and then re-add the track. Otherwise, when you keep the track and change the Vegas project's tempo, the ACIDized track should remain the same.

Indeed it does - thank you
I also remembered the Vegas event properties sheet has critical pitch and time stuff that has solved one of my problems
