I only need to post once, and you will never need to hear from me again heh. I'm sure this is a widespread question, but I am in the quickest hurry before work here. I drag a song into the editor.. and it opens a 'beat mapper' and I cannot edit my sound file.. any help appreciated.. thanks |

What do you mean by “edit your sound file?” What were you planning on doing with it? ACID is not an audio editor like Sound Forge. ACID will let you play back your sound file and chop it into bits and reassemble them but not actually edit the wave data. ~jr |

That's it? Just cutting it into peices? How do I know where to chop it precisely? I can't hear the file in the first place.. Can't sound forge do the exact same thing? Or Vegas 5.0a exporting the file as sound... ? |

If you just want to cut the file into pieces, I would use Sound Forge. ACID is primarily for music composition, not audio file editing. ~jr |

As JohnnyRoy mentioned, if you want to just edit the audio, Sound Forge would be more up your alley...unless you wanted to do something creative with the song? Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid Buy Instant ACID by JohnnyRoy and mD! mD at ACIDplanet |
