Subject:Windows XP solved my problems with Mia sound card

Wanted to thank all the people that have been lending me a hand.

I have switched from Windows 98SE to XP and the mysterious clipping, white noise and erratic behavior while recording at 2448 and 2496 have stopped.

The only thing left for me to get cleared up in my mind, is that when I have SF 6.0 ready to record, I see some activity on the level meter.

Is that normal? Any ideas?

Thanx
Scott

Depending on your record chain, ect. you will "see" the noise floor. (artifacts left over from the "big bang" a few bilion or so years ago.)
Around -85dB on my Echo card connected to a Sony studio MD.
