Arg! What happened! I agree. This new design makes reading posts a horrible chore. Could we please have an option to have the old design back? Chris |

A chore? How so? except for the menu header at the top of the page the only change is coloration. Other than that, the layout and arrangement of the forum posts is identical to what it used to be. |

Blue font color is awful. And I miss having a background color beneath the whole central interface. Just having white feels like it's missing something. |

agreed. sony must be related to me, cuz they make no freakin' sense. we ask for email notifications and the ability to add links and stuff, and instead we get this crap. Looks like I bought a freaking iPod instead of Acid Pro. |

First of all, we're not ignoring your feature requests for the forums. We hear them and there are some that I hope we'll be able to get in. The 'new look' is more of an old look, though new to us. Now that we're in the Sony family we needed to look more in line with the rest of Sony. http://www.sonystyle.com http://www.sony.com http://www.sonyconnect.com All things in due time. -Jenn |

The old colour scheme was an absolute shocker. This one is generally far superior. The only real problem is the forum link colours are too stark. The new scheme was the only good thing that happened at Sony today... |

"Now that we're in the Sony family we needed to look more in line with the rest of Sony." I was wondering when we'd hear something along these lines because it certainly is symbolic of what's happening lately. Take a look at the Sound Forge and especially the Vegas Audio forum for a hit of what I'm referring to. "Vegas Audio" will soon become a contradiction in terms. It will be interesting to see what Sony does with Acid. More video features for sure. . . The last remnants of Sonic Foundry are slowly but surely disappearing – sad but inevitiable. drbam |

IMO, while the SF teal/black scheme was very tasteful, the new scheme doesn't bother me at all. It is efficient, the visited/unvisited links follow standard Win. convention and to me are very easy to quickly assess and navigate. What bothers me is the change something over a week ago from the light grey/darker grey for every other post in a given thread. They are all now the same grey. Boooo... Eye candy is one thing, practicality an other. MJ |

I find the links too bright and distracting and the monotone same grey colour for every post is unhelpful and makes reading posts more tiring - hence the word "chore". These forums are much less of a pleasure to visit. If they have been changed to fit in with some overall Sony scheme I can only hope that Sony decide to change their whole style soon. Won't be holding my breathe on that one. Chris |
