Subject:How do you select multiple sections for deletion

When looking at a complete sample, I need to select at least three sections of dead space in order to delete them all at the same time. Is there a ley combination that will let me select the first sector, then move to the second, select it, move to the third sector, select it, then press delete to get rid of all three?

Any help is deeply appreciated.
