Some Problems with 6.0

Okay--here are the immediate problems I am having.

1. I love the Premiere like scrub button--but it is so slow on my machine it is rendered useless---When I use the old scrub method we get back to speed.
2. Importing Veggies made in 5.0 presents the following problem, particularly with stills---its very jittery in the preview window when you are importing a Ken Burns movement.
3. For some reason, when I pop an event in the time line---the words "media offline" sometime appear on the actual image.

I think this is a nice upgrade---and a great update if you are going blackmagic design or HDV----

Solved the scrubbing problem--hold your control key down while scrubbing------

Hmm ...
I, too, have imported recently completed V5 projects and have found in two out of three cases that keyframes on track motion 'glow' and 'shadow' have doubled up.

In one case the top keyframes appear to be the defaults. If I delete the top ones, the ones I set remain and work as before. In the other case the top keyframes were the ones I set and the defaults are below.

Anyone else see this?

1. Yes using CTRL + scrub gives you finer control
2. I have sent you and email requestiong the project that gives you issue.
3. The words "(Media Offline)" appear on the thumbnails of media ont the timeline when Vegas does not have focus.
This can be set by the preference "Close media files when not the active application."

Rex,

Does V6 use a different VEG file format than V5? Have you tried resaving the V5 files in V6 format?

A word of caution saving V5 projects in V6.

Unless you do not want to ever open your project again in V5 you should save to different name or archive your project before saving over.

Ivan,
Did you send email for the veggies to rex or me - I haven't seen it yet if you did.
Thanks,
Tom
