Subject:SF 7.0b and Noise Reduction problems

Okay, let's try this again...

I just reinstalled SF 7.0, then the 7.0b upgrade. This was necessary because I suddenly started getting beeps when using the wave hammer. Now I cannot get SF to recognize Noise Reduction 2.0b. I tried uninstalling these two products, then cleaning the registry and reinstalling and still Noise Reduction is not recognized.

One other problem has started since I reinstalled. Now when SF starts up I get two different RUNDLL errors. Both are looking for a module in C:\PROGRA~1\Sony\Sound (then it runs out of room in the pop-up). I have Windows XP SP2 loaded. I am rather stumped at this point. Does anyone have any ideas of what I can do to resolve these two issues?

SP2 is a bad choise for such programs yet. Many people, who try XP SP2, has problems with audio/video editing software.

But, SF 7.0 has been working fine on this laptop for at least 9 months with no problems.

For the RunDLL problem KB article 251 will probably help.

Definitely, call Customer Service about Noise Reduction 800.577.6642 . I'm not sure what's up.

Thanksfor the feedback. Unfortunately, the customer service hours are REALLY limited. I am on the west coast, so for me, they are open Monday thru Friday 7-9am, and 10:30-3pm. I am at work from 6am to 3 pm. So, no luck there.

Post a message to support on your Account. They will definitely reply within 48 hours - probably faster.

I sent an email to tech support on Friday (4/15) and got a reply that they had received my email, but nothing else.
