I think I found another bug in Batch Converter. Here are the steps to reproduce the problem. 1. Create a 44.1 / 16 / stereo file 2. Generate some test data 3. Save the file to an empty folder 4. Close the file 5. Open Batch Converter 6. Add the folder above with the single stereo file in it to the file list 7. Goto the process tab 8. Select Channel Converter, and click on add process 9. Make sure the checkbox at the bottom is unchecked, so you see the faders. 10. Notice that you only have the fader for the left channel in both mono and stereo outputs. Now repeat the steps above, but add the single stereo file and not the folder to the process list. You should notice the Channel Converter behaves as normal. I have a screen shot showing the problem, and will be sending it off to tech support shortly. |

I'm not seeing this in build 53. Any other steps I may have missed? Message last edited on4/13/2005 10:29:15 AM bySonic. |

Ah. There is one more key step. After you close the stereo test file, create a new mono file, and then close it. Then proceed with the Batch Conversion step. It appears that if a mono file was created last, Channel Converter run from Batch Converter on a folder thinks it is working with mono files. |

Okay, I see and I've bugged for 8.0a. The obvious workaround is to go create a stereo file and close it first. J. |
