ok.. heres a bug i do encounter since acid 4. actually i never thought about to mention it but here we go now: during my worktime in acid i often press ctrl+s, specially in acid5 because its not stable yet. in the beginning i can save a project when its running and if i do so, the playback does not stop. just after spending some time in acid that suddenly does not work anymore. well i can still save the project, but if im in playback mode it does stop after saving it. if i then close and re-open acid, that does work again. this looks like a buffer problem and i think the bug i already mentioned (cursor is showing correct loop region, but is actually playing the part AFTER the region) is also related to this. it does also happen just after some time. it looks like acid is kinda "overloaded" in these moments and restarting it does always fix the problem. is anyone else encountering similar things? |

Yes I´ve experienced the exact same thing. It mainly occurs when I have a lot of tracks running and when a lot of plug ins are used.It also works for me to restart the program to kinda reset it all. I thought that it maybe had something to do with Asio but looking at your specs you doesn´t seem to use Asio (Klirrfaktor). I´ve learned with version 5.a that stopping the playback before changing parameters of any kind (while working on numerous trabcks) always help the stability of the program. If I do change f.ex efx parameters while playing back, the program has a tendency to either crash or do the offset cursor thing... So maybe it has something to do with the playbackengine being overloaded? About Ctrl S.... Yes it stops and is somehow annoýing :-) Martian |

hey.. good to see im not alone ;-) its true that it mostly happens on big projects with a lot of stuff in it... but at the beginning its working fine. it just starts to get messy after some time. and why do you think im not using asio? im using a hammerfall rme soundcard.. one of the best cards available and of course im using that kickass asio stuff from it ;-P |
