Subject:FM7 suddenly doesn't show in VSTi list anymore

I wonder if anybody here has experienced something like this and hopefully found a solution:

I had Native Instruments' FM7 installed and working fine with Acid4. After I had installed Acid5 , it also worked fine there.

But today, I uninstalled and then reinstalled FM7 and Acid5 suddenly can't detect it any longer. Interestingly, Acid4 (that I stil have installed in a different folder) finds FM7 without any hassle.

What's going on?

Thank you,

In ACID 5 under Options > Preferences > VST Instruments did you press the Refresh button to make ACID rescan for all VSTi’s? If this doesn’t work, I have a registry hack on my web site that forces ACID to forget about its VSTi’s this causing it to rebuild the list from scratch. WARNING: This is not an endorsed procedure from Sony.

Thanks a lot, JohnnyRoy - your registry hack solved the issue. Once more a tip from you (or Iacobus) that helped me make better use of Acid. I thought I'd take this as an opportunity and have just ordered your book, Instant Acid.

Thank you again,
