Whenever I record, theres always a hiss sound in the playback. Its in the wav file. I listen to the speakers and its fine, just when I record. I made the connection cable from my mixer to the computer shorter and the hiss is still there. Is there any way to eliminate the hissing sound and have crystal clear recordigns? Phathom |

What kind of connections and cables are you using? You won't get it with 1/8" minijack. The best sound quality is usually obtained using 1/4" TRS (throughout, from source to destination) with an audio interface that has a great noise floor. Digital sources like S/PDIF are pretty good as well but the cables usually aren't shielded from interference like TRS is.
