What I'd like is a SONY DVD tutorial on how to use and make the best out of Media Manager. I think explanations here and the posts I've read, have only served to confuse me further - honest! I DO think Media Manager is a truly powerful tool. Apart from anything else - and if the options for functions to drift to other packages - maybe we will see a version of Media manager appearing within Vegas6 - the sooner I get savvy with MM, the better. So, if anybody, SONY, has a DVD on this subject, I'd be more than willing to view it. Best regards, Grazie |

Hey Grazie, Are you aware of the new ACID Pro 5 Software Training DVDs, part of the Sony Seminar Series, created by the developers of ACID Pro 5? There are some sample videos for you to look at: http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.com/products/showproduct.asp?PID=957 It is an excellent series of tutorials, on three DVD's. Two DVD's contain all the tutorials and the third DVD has all the lesson media. It is divided up into 5 major modules: DVD 1: The Basics & Beyond the Basic modules DVD 2: New Features in ACID Pro 5, Media Management & Grooves The 2nd DVD is all ACID Pro 5 orientated while the first DVD is applicable to older versions of the software. There are specific modules (with 11-14 chapters each) that focus on the Media Manager and the Groove Mapping technology. The Media Manager module has over 32 minutes of tutorials divided up into 9 chapters. Well over 3 hours of tutorials that cover ACID from A-Z. Even though I am pretty familar with ACID, I went ahead and purchased the ACID Seminar Series. The 2nd DVD is quite helpful in getting you up to speed with ACID Pro 5. As an experieced ACID user, I did not get a lot out of the Basics module, on the first DVD, but I did learn a few new things, in the 2nd Beyond the Basics module. Overall, it is very well done and I would highly recommend it to novice, intermediate and even expereinced ACID users, as well. Especially if you are new to ACID Pro 5 and want to quickly get up to speed on all the new features. I ordered online and got it in the mail a couple of days later. Just FYI, the set runs $99. There's four clips there you can check out for free, one of which does a decent job of giving an overview of the media manager. The others focus on groove clips mainly, haven't viewed them yet. |

Thanks Guys! I'll look at the free Gary Rebholtz section again . . I couldn't work it out then . .maybe now . . . So, the section within the DVDs on MM is quite extensive - eh? Grazie |

Grazie, I have the DVD set. I can't comment on it right now because I haven't had time to go through it since I'm in the process of moving.
