Subject:SF8 Upgrade $99.95 or $149.95

Just purchased SF8 upgrade (upgrading from SF7 Pro) for $149.95, yet just discovered through these forums that previous owners can upgrade for $99.95 via email. How come this pricing wasn't reflected in a regular upgrade purchase (I went through the PRODUCTS drop down menu on Sony Media's homepage). Am I entitled to a partial refund?

I had the exact same experience. Then I couldn't get an email to go through to the Customer Service to get an explanation or attempt to get the price refund. Likewise, I haven't been able to get an update on the status of my order (Packaged), see forum Topic CUSTOMER SERVICE PROBLEMS; Sony really needs to work on their Website to improve the user experience for Customer Service Requests. Sonic Foundry did a much better job. The Level of Service has declined considerable since Sony Acquired this softward product. It also seems to have more software bugs in new versions. Hope this will improve, I've been an advocate of these products to everyone I know and work with, would hate to start giving bad reviews. Come On Sony, I know you want and can do better than this>

I jumped the gun on the upgrade too; I posted my request for a partial refund to the customer service site (custcenter.com) and received my refund within the day. My impression of the customer service dept. hasn't changed since SF--they're much more responsive than most, and I haven't been let down yet.

FWIW - I purchased on the first day @ 149.95. I called the customer service line and got through to someone using the 'ask a pre-sales question' option. They were very helpful and set me up with the refund.

My customer service experience has always been positive with both SF and Sony. I agree with the post above that they are better than most...which is why I continue to use their products!

I also purchased on 3/14 when I first received the email. When I saw the info about the $99.95 price here, I called Customer Service, on 3/24. They supposedly issued my refund but it still (after 11 days!) hasn't appeared on my credit card. And they forgot to refund the sales tax on the $50. I've called twice asking where the refund is, and of course they blame it on slow processing by Master Card. I have my own thoughts about where the problem is. I suppose Sony is flooded with refund requests.

I also called asking for a refund. I purchased early on the first day and my bank posted the refund yesterday. I'm sure you will get it, it just seems like a lot of work for not enough people.
