OK, I found out how to load Absynth 3 as an FX unit (VST) inside Acid Pro 5.0. Now, my problem is, it won't work! It shows up as an effect and everything, and I make sure Absynth uses "Audio in" so it can capture the audio of the specific loop/sound and apply the FX. Still doesn't work. What am I doing wrong? Other users of Absynth have said that I have to use MIDI data for it to work, but how can I assign a MIDI track to an FX? It doesn't make sense. Anybody who uses Absynth 3.0 and Acid Pro 5.0 should really help me out here! What am I doing wrong? |

I don't drink Absynth, but I saw this stagnating and thought I'd take a stab. I'm not sure of your user level, so forgive me if I offend your intelligence, but are you actually sending anything to the FX bus? Is there input showing on the FX in the mixer window, but no output? Or is there no input or output? If there's input, but no output, can't help ya. But if there's no input, you need to use the universal fader (that normally controls volume) to send some of the volume from the desired tracks to the FX. If you click on the drop arrow to the right of a track you wish to effect, you will see options for volume, pan, the various busses you've inserted, as well as ones for any FX sends you've inserted. Select the appropriate FX from the dropdown, drag the slider to the right, and some of the level is sent to your FX, processed, and spit out to the main channel (unless you route it otherwise). Anyway, I'm guessing you've tried that, just thought I'd mention it, as I was a bit confused by the way sends work in Acid myself when I first tried to use them. Good luck. |
