Subject:Another VSTi question.

Some of the VSTi's I own, such as Absynth 3.0 and Reaktor Session, can act as FX units when you aren't using them in their synth mode. They still show up in Acid as a VSTi though. How would I be able to use their FX modes in Acid Pro 5?

Easy example: Reaktor can be a synth, drum machine, or FX box. When I have it as an instrument inside Acid Pro 5, I would like to make a loop inside Acid Pro receive the FX that I have assigned Reaktor Session. A great example would be their ensemble called "Grainstates FX," which granulates a sound. How would I set things up inside Acid Pro 5 to where Reaktor will "hear" the loop and apply the FX?

Absynth 3.0 can also go from playing sounds to making FX for any incoming audio if you change it's patch to "audio in."

This has stumped me for a long time. I have seen other Audio Apps do it easier, such as Ableton Live, but I don't want to buy a new mixing/loop application just to get this to work. Acid Pro 5 is a great piece of software, and I am sure there's probably a way to do it. I just need someone to explain how to do it.

You cannot use a single instance of a VSTi as both an instrument and an FX in ACID. You have to add a second instances of the VSTi as an audio FX, in which case you cannot use it as an instrument.
