So am I alone in thinking this is a bit of a problem? |

Just a bit. ;-) No you are not alone but there is an easy workaround. Just solo the track and use Ctrl+M to Render to New Track (i.e., “freeze” the track). Then use the resulting audio track sends for assignable FX. Not as nice as doing it on the bus but ACID doesn’t add both a MIDI and audio track like other DAW’s do so you have work around it by creating your own audio track. ~jr |

or couldn't you just create an extra regular buss, insert the FX you wanted, and send the synth to that? And then you can route that buss to another bus if desired. If you want to send other tracks to the assignable FX, just use the appropriate bus send level meter from the drop down on the all-purpose slider for each track. Either way, Acid Pro needs a freeze function so we don't have to mess with all this carry-on. And please, someday, can we edit MIDI notes on the timeline so we can line up notes with transients from other tracks without backing-and-forthing our afternoon away. |

>can we edit MIDI notes on the timeline so we can line up notes with >transients from other tracks without backing-and-forthing our afternoon >away I second that. Already suggested in one of my older post. |

Heres another workaround to get send softsynths to send to Assignable FX: 1) Insert Senderalla in "Send" mode as an Insert FX on the softsynth bus track. 2) Insert Senderalla in "Return" mode as the first effect in the effects chain of the Assignable FX (Set Amount to 100%). 3) Adjust the Amount value in Senderalla in the softsynth bus track to send. I think this more closely mimics how the real send should work. It would be nice to see this ommision appear in a future 6.0 update. Cheers, Randy |

Hmmmm.......interesting workaround there Randy. I may have to give her a try myself. Best of all, the Senderalla plugin is free. Thanks for the tip, Billy Buck |

I thought Senderella didn't work on rendering - created crackles etc? Whatever the case, we must must must in the future have a way to sending form a synth bus and a regular bus to the Assignable FX/auxes. It's a basic routing functionality that ACID and Vegas is sorely missing. I see the sends as something you'd access from the bus tracks view, working just like they do with regular tracks. Please, Sony? Ben |

I was also surprised to see this essential routing functionality didn't exist in Acid 6 pro. Like Ben said: Please, Sony? Bo |

Yep... so far this is the only thing I'm really missing as well. I'll try that Senderella plugin but if it doesn't work on render then it is quite useless. |
